The present study of systematic prospecting and bibliographical survey carried out in the scope of the project "ER 227 - Treatment of the Crossing of Nogueira do Cravo" had as its objective the identification of archaeological remains and ethnographic and architectural patrimony that could be affected by the execution Of the work. The research carried out allowed us to understand the occupational dynamics of the region and to obtain the maximum information regarding the vestiges of human paleocupation in the area. Through the research it was also possible to understand the main historical and cultural characteristics of the area of ​​implantation of the project and its surroundings. It is thus verified that the area under study had a permanent and important occupation in the historical context of the central coast of Portugal.
