AFA.2012.0053_Leisure and Cultural Center Representative of the Epic of the Portuguese Discoveries, Porto

The results obtained from the works confirm the existence of vestiges with little archaeological interest in Poles 2 and 4. With the exception of Poll 4, where the slab appeared, the landfill levels of the remaining polls go up to the water table. Regardless of all the constraints, the excavation revealed a fragmented estate existence, with contemporary chronology. Only the drawing of sections of Survey 4 was performed since the depth and instability of the remaining surveys did not make possible the respective drawings. Survey 6 revealed a simple stratigraphy, with only 3 Stratigraphic Units: UE601 - Lajeado; UE602 - Layer preparation and elevation layer and EU603 - Water table. These data reveal that the identified layers are of the twentieth century, with no previous traces.
