AFA.2014.0069_Demolition of Existing Building, Construction of a Building for Single Family Housing and Construction of Fence and Support Walls, Rua do Arrabalde

The results obtained from the works confirm the existence of a simple stratigraphy with little archaeological interest. Layers of landfill, some plumbing and two structures were identified. All these situations are of the contemporary age, so they demonstrate that we are not facing any archaeological reality. The intervened area of ​​10% is thus a fairly safe sample in the sense of ascertaining damages and / or destruction on vestiges and / or archaeological structures affected by the project. Thus, due to the results obtained with the present study, no measures of minimization are taken. In compliance with the legal provisions, the management of the archaeological work informed the guardianship the term of the intervention.
