AFA.2015.0081_Rua do Senhor da Boa Morte, 215A / Largo de Santa Catarina, 1 (Lordelo do Ouro, Porto) - Execution of Archaeological Surveys for Evaluation and Eventual Follow-up

The results obtained in this intervention do not confirm the existence of a site of high archaeological interest. The realization of the archaeological surveys allowed us to confirm that the area under study has undergone several interventions that have been remodeling the space, especially since the end of the century. XIX, as can be observed through the comparative analysis of sheet 112 of the Topographic Chart of the City of Porto, 1878 - 1892, at a scale of 1: 500, raised under the direction of Augusto Gerardo Teles Ferreira, with its own land and with the structures identified in surveys 3 And 5. The material results, from Roman chronology obtained in survey 1, the structures identified in the surveys mentioned above, the location of the project and the historical references on the site leave us apprehensive as to the possible existence of preserved archaeological remains in this area.
