The building where the study area is inserted is classified in the public interest by Decree-Law 129/77, of 29 September, has a special protection zone. The area of ​​intervention focuses on the three main bodies of the ensemble, nave, chapel-mór and narthex, but still on all the construction that involves the head of the church and on a ground-floor building, called by pavilion, located in the west patio.
