AFA.2011.0039_Demolition, Alteration, Magnification of Residential Building and Annex Construction, Penafiel

The Archaeological Monitoring of Works (AAO) carried out in the context of the Demolition, Alteration, Extension of Single Family Residential Building and Annex Construction, Lugar de Souto Novo, Rua dos Moinhos nº468, Parish of Perozelo, Penafiel was immediately assumed as a preventive and Of patrimonial safeguard. The importance of this work was revealed in that it allowed to conclude that in the spaces directly intervened by the action of the machinery does not exist any type of archaeological vestige. Thus, all processes of deforestation and excavation of foundations were carried out without structures or materials passed by the Human Past were reached. As such, it is verified that the intervention in the ground, potentially intrusive, did not cause any type of patrimonial damage.
