AFA.2013.0062_Alteration of an Establishment Located at Rua Alfredo Pereira, 87-91, Penafiel

The Archaeological Monitoring of Works (AAO) carried out in the context of the "Alteration of an Establishment located at Rua Alfredo Pereira, 87-91, Penafiel", was immediately assumed as a preventive and patrimonial safeguard activity. The importance of this work was revealed in that it allowed to conclude that in the spaces directly intervened by the action of the revolvment of earth does not exist any type of archaeological vestige. Thus, all the processes of excavation were carried out without structures or materials passed by the Human Past were reached. As such, it is verified that the intervention in the ground, potentially intrusive, did not cause any type of patrimonial damage.
