AFA.2013.0054_Restoration and Rehabilitation of the Tower and Clérigos Church, Porto

The Archaeological Monitoring of Works (AAO) carried out in the context of the "Restoration and Rehabilitation of the Tower and Church of the Clergy" was immediately assumed as a preventive and patrimonial safeguard activity. The importance of this work was revealed in that it allowed to conclude that in the spaces directly intervened by the action of the earth revolving, there is no any archaeological vestige, besides the one identified during the accomplishment of the archaeological probes. On the other hand, the punctures carried out in the context of the work allowed to verify the existence of alterations to the constructive apparatus and that the building of the infermaria was not all constructed simultaneously
