AFA.2018.0177 Partial Rehabilitation of the Convent of the Blessed Sacrament, Rua do Sacramento, Alcântara - Lisbon

The rehabilitation project of the Convent of Sacramento proposes a deep intervention in accordance with the reality found and the destinies foreseen for each one of the areas of the Convent supervised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. As it appears in the descriptive document of this project, the half-west of the North Wing intends to equip itself with the appropriate conditions for offices of services, with the valences required to spaces of contemporary services, safeguarding the decorative values and existing materials. The ground floor of the West and West Wing will be destined to specific storage spaces of the ministry, namely destined to deposits of furniture in transit of the diplomatic posts abroad. Next to the church there are some rooms with a geometry and dimension with the potential to serve, in the future, to support the space of the church itself, if ever used as an auditorium, or as entrance halls of service units.
