AFA.2018.0165_Stabilization of the Douro Slopes between Régua and Valeira Dam (Km 119 + 540 and Km 145 + 800)

The project concerns the stabilization of slopes in twelve stretches of the Douro Line, located between Ferrão Station (km 119 + 219) and Ferradosa station (km 150 + 600). In this section, the Douro Line is inscribed on the right bank of the river that gives it its name. The rugged character of the morphology often imposes an insertion of the track in a mixed profile, with excavations of great height on the north side. The Douro line, in the section between Ferrão station (km 119 + 219) and Ferradosa station (km 150 + 600), is located in a topographically very rugged zone, marked by the presence of the deep valleys of the Douro river, level of local base, and its main tributaries of the right margin: the Pinhão river and the river Tua.
