AFA.2016.0106_Recovery of Buildings to Support the Portuguese School of Equestrian Art Páteo da Nora, Lisbon - Conservation and Restoration Cantarias and Plasters and Decorative Elements

The intervention now completed in the buildings and outdoor spaces of Páteo da Nora, with the purpose of supporting the Portuguese School of Equestrian Art, was intended not only to equip them with new infrastructures that would serve their new function, but also to dignify this set of buildings and space. In effect it will become possible for the general public to visit this space and follow the works of the Portuguese School of Equestrian Art, now with better conditions. This intervention was intended to respect the pre-existing layout of all the intervened buildings, as well as the other elements present, without compromising the necessary contemporany to their new functions, especially in the interior spaces. The materials used seek to guarantee compatibility and respect for the original materials, thus minimizing the impact of the intervention, without compromising their durability and strength.
