AFA.2017.0126_Social Center Parish of the Sé - Social Equipment of Support to the Childhood. Largo 1st of December, 4000-404 Porto

The project in question aims to provide new facilities for child support in the Parish of Sé, Porto. The intervention will be carried out in two spaces: a main building, adjacent to the fernandina wall, of greater size with the aim of creating a space dedicated to children and another building dedicated to the administrative part. Rehabilitation of existing buildings is sought, allowing them to be used as nurseries and offices, "preserving and valuing their original architectural qualities". The site to be the target of the intervention of Preventive Archeology is located in the center of the city of Oporto, classified as a World Heritage of Humanity, more concretely in Largo 1º de Dezembro, formerly called Campo de Santa Clara. The property is part of the union of the parishes of Cedofeita, Santo Ildefonso, Sé, Miragaia, São Nicolau and Vitória, municipality and district of Porto.
