In the perimeter of the present parish there are two relevant things of interest to the knowledge of the Middle Ages: the Church of S. Miguel, whose archaic architecture is already of the Gothic era, and, on a nearby hill, the place where the head of the territory of Anglia Objectively, the first reference that we have concerning Anégia, if the document is not interpolated, is 875 (D. C, no. 8). The diploma refers to a donation to the church of Soalhães (Marco de Canaveses) that is said to be situated in the territory of Anégia.
