AFA.2015.0091_Building Sito in the Street of the Tower - Vilar de Andorinho, in Vila Nova de Gaia

The results obtained from the works confirm the existence of simple stratigraphies with little archaeological interest. The results also confirm the absence of structures and other archaeological contexts preserved in the intervened area. Some ceramic materials, mostly of contemporary chronology, were collected with 3 fragments belonging to older chronologies, 1 from the 17th and 18th centuries and 2 from the 2nd Iron Age, probably resulting from the runoff from higher areas. The archaeological accompaniment of the work was recommended during the project, since, although no evidence of structures was detected, these could occur during the opening of trenches and trenches to the foundations of the building. All excavation processes in the archaeological accompaniment phase were carried out without structures or materials passed by the Human Past were reached.
